Last day of summer

Bitter sweet day

The last day I get to spend with my kiddos and the last day before I can regain my sanity, lol.

I'll miss having them around, but at least I won't be listening to all the whining and tattles of each other. I also have a new job that I really get to get lost in more so when they return to school.

I think we're back.......

So I think we are back in business of writing!?!?

We moved and had no computer for the longest of time, the. I got everything going, and said computer took a crap I blame old cables. Anyways never found the time to get them replaced just kept living day to day with what was needed to be done.

Then one day I got the blogger app and it was pointless. I mean it let me write post and that was about it. I couldn't upload any pictures. Let's face it, if you know me I love my pictures.

So months had passed and yesterday I had decided to re download the blogger app. Presto!

Now here we are. 😊 so I can't wait to start writing all over again.

Sausage & Cheese Egg Roll Cups

My kiddos have been in love with Egg Rolls lately. So I have been eyeing thru Pinterest for ideas on what to make next with these amazing little things. So the other day at the grocery store I was picking up more and I noticed the Won Ton wrappers and thought oooh what could I make with theses.

I mean these things are like magic, I have seen my string bean child eat sooo many helpings in forever.

I got a couple ideas and modified them to our liking and this is what I came up with, very basic quick breakfast.

So you'll need:

*Log of sausage I use Jimmy Dean
*Cheddar and Mozzarella Cheese grated
*Won Ton wrappers

~Preheat oven to 350-400 degrees. Cook sausage untill done, grate cheeses together, and then while waiting take a muffin tin and place wrappers in cups. Bake for about 5 minutes just the wrappers. Then take out and place your sausage and cheese in cups and bake for another 10-15 minutes.

Then enjoy!

You could also totally put egg, peppers, tomatoes, and bacon etc in these and they would be just as delish.

Day three of Pulled Pork???

I slowed cooked a pork roast the other morning, and it was smelling all delicious like allll day long.

Dinner time came and went and I still had soo much pulled pork left over. The hunni was warned he would be having some in his lunch  and the girls and I would be doing the same, lol.

Day 2 of lefts over not so bad but still sooo much left......

Day 3 I felt like having pizza for dinner. I started getting everything out, hunni brought some cheese home and then I wondered about BBQ pork pizza????

Lets just say there's no more left overs and it was sooooo yummy. I also made a pepperoni pizza for the girls just in case, well they polished that one off and then went for the BBQ pizza.

Happy mama moment!

Super easy too, make your own pizza dough I really like the pioneer womens  recipe it is SUPER easy, or do store bought.

BBQ sauce, pork, little more sauce and top with cheese ( mozzarella and cheddar ) and in the oven for about 20-30 minutes and about 350 degrees.

Sunday, Funday

We recently made a new to us purchase as our little family is upgrading to nicer boats. We took her out for her maiden voyage and had oh so much fun!!

Transferred all kinds of fun stuff off the old pontoon boat onto the new Bayliner. We had some crashes and some fishy scares. Though all in all a great day with the family. I even got to pull the ole wakeboard out and it felt super nice, the girls will be on that next time.

Now for the next voyage with some new tubes, we may have been a little harsh on the old doughnut deal and tore the cover right off, oops.....

Oh and how sexy is that farmers tan?!?!?!?!

Easter!

I hope y'all had a great Easter weekend. We kept it very low key this year. I decided that I would make the girls dresses this year, and I was very pleased with them. :)

Of course I had to get the camera out and bring Miss. Mabel out for a photo op with the kiddos.

Sugar Pine Railroad

Today was a cold and fun day, after being transplanted into the Sierra Mountains almost eight years ago and always driving past this place. Which is known as the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad, located just before the gate to Yosemite National Park. We finally had a  chance to check it out and enjoy some outdoor beauty.

It was great and the girls really enjoyed themselves despite the frigged temps, but at least we had a nice warm blanket to bundle up underneath.

Something wonderful caught there attention.

We will come again when its warmer, maybe in the spring next year.
Also you can find information on it by clicking ~~> Sugar Pine Railroad

My mini got....

My miss Dalila Jean got second in the spelling bee at school!

We were practicing for a couple weeks. Then the day of the spelling bee I asked if she was nervous and if I could come watch her.

She told me she wasn't going to do it. So I was a little sad.

Well I went to pick her up from school and boy did i get a surprise. She was asked if she was going to do the spelling bee and she told whomever yes and yea. She received a medal and was all sorts of excited.

Mobbing on the fity??

The girls got sooooo excited and the itch to learn to ride there bikes. Well Chloe and I went and picked out a helmet for them until we can bring Dalila to pick out hers.

All started out well and then Dalila got them both scared. So for now we just keep trying to get them used to things. Kids are suppose to be fearless right???

Chloe also wanted to buy the pink quad.

We just had to take the before when were still happy.

Hey look I can even wear there helmet..

Building the garden.

2014 we moved.....

Great idea we said, everyone was happy and excited.

Then I realized I had to redo my entire garden :/ It was all OK in my mind, I got to do raised beds and I could make it prettier than the last garden.

Then I started actually "doing" it oh my gosh when is this ever going to be done!?!?!?

So basically I just built my beds and called it good.  Ill have to post pictures sometime or another when I get them off the old computer....

So anyways this season I was focusing on just getting the fence up. I new the beds were good, I didn't have any gophers no little varmints last year except for in the lower garden that wasn't wire protected. I was tired and I just wanted to plant my corn, and squash, and pumpkins.

I waited till the rainy season and I dug something of like 20 holes with my handy dandy hand held post hole digger. It went really quick. Like i did 5-7 poles a day and then got them set and called it a day. lol I was beat.

SOOOO here are some pictures of the progress, its nothing pretty but it prettier than the last garden. Will do a little flash back to present. :)

2012*** Ya its the little thing with the tin and wood. :)

2013*** Had my honey take the D3 and push a lower garden for all the yummy corn we grew that year, and added on to the upper garden, I cant seem to find a finished picture of it ended up something about 20x 40. the both of them each.

2014*** pictures are stuck on old computer.....

2015***Mind you I was gather supplies from people that were just getting rid of things. Old wood, pallets, tin. We will be moving again and I didn't want to invest in good wood. When I have a home Im going to set everything in concrete and be permanent. Though this by far is still my best garden, its been compeletly fenced in since pictures, it has been 98% painted. It has a few more things to fix up.

Weekend situations....

I may not have school smarts, but I sure am handy to have in real world situations. I have a lot of useless knowledge and I'm not afraid to ask for help when needed. Or for Dars sake that I don't hurt myself. Its nice to know he still cares about me even though he may not say it everyday. lol

So I new that Dar likes to use fire to put tires back on rims, but I new there was another way. I just couldn't remember. Well a friend from high school told me and I was like tada that's right!!

So there we go and I was back in business and started mowing the field down. It was a very accomplished day. Good bye poison oak ( and I know just by mowing its not gone, but at least its not 3 feet high and a twiggy jungle).

Then on Sunday I sold my mama goat and I wasn't completely ready, I thought I was with the kids I really wasn't though. It was a bit of a mess, I wont lie lol. They barreled threw the chicken coop door which isn't strong for goats. I didn't get a chance to build a door for the goat house due to the lumber yard being closed. So I had to get crafty. These little girls where limber they climb under the fence everyday. So I grabbed the truck and this is what I came up with. Works great too.

I had acquired old poles and this is what I had left so I grabbed one of the longer ones and backed the truck up and tied it to the hitch. Then off we went.

Then I re-centered it so that I could back it down a fairly good size hill. I really didn't want to get ran over by a pole if it slipped and got away from me......well guess what I left a little slack in the ring around the pole so that it could move without getting tangled around it self. It didn't work it took its self down to the run for me... Ooops

Re-strapped it up and moved it into place. Perfect! I wonder what other situations I can get myself into before today is over. lol. Have a great Monday tomorrow!!

Where do I begin, its been so long.

So much has happened in a year, its crazy. We have moved, we have a new garden that's still working, we have MANY new animals added to our farm. We have had deaths of our loved ones and many of our fur babies have passed. We have a kindergarten amongst us who is all angel at school and very dramatic at home.

There is never a dull a moment in this household. Always finding ways to keep myself going and busy. With in hand maintaining our life style of trying to eat what we grow and buy what we may need.

We gave goats milk a try, it was good and different at the same time. I think for a first timer I shouldn't have gotten a stubborn mama who wants nothing to do with being milked. Lesson learned will know next time to buy someone who doesn't mind. lol

I didn't make any real new years resolutions, except to just life my everyday life to the fullest with no regrets and be the happiest I can be for my girls and I.

Taking advantage of the wonderful weather in November

Dropped Dalila off at school this morning. Chloe and I decided that it would be a good day to see if it was a burn day. Turned out that it was! So onto the fun. We had a good handful of piles to take care of. We managed to get everything burnt down right in time to just, jump into the Jeep and take off to pick Dalila up.

Then we took advantage the next day also. This fire was a bit of a turd. First off it stole my rake,  I had contemplated on just letting it have it. Then I changed my mind and figured I better save it. Damn it was a hot mess and hot getting that rake back. Then the aftermath of it all hot and smoking. Im glad I saved it. I later learned that it was grandpas dads rake. So man this thing has been in the family quite a while. Glad I saved it, and its just a little charred   :)

Also side note walked around the new property and found some really pretty in person rocks.
